Major Series Events
 
These are national and international disc dog competition series events where you must qualify for the final championships or earn scores through attending the series' competitions to become a champion in one of these excellent disc dog competition formats.  Listed in alphabetical order.  As you can see we are blessed with a variety of competition series, during the warm months you can find a competition almost every weekend.  Awesome!
 

 
   The Ashley Whippet Invitational is a Freestyle / Throw and Catch / Freestyle format competition series that has seven qualifiers in the United States this year and a few abroad.  The Qualifiers are open to any and all competitors and the top five teams in each of the qualifiers will earn an invitation to the AWI World Finals.  This year the AWI World Finals will be in Naperville, IL, near Chicago.  Find more info by clicking on the logo.  Additional info and Rules Here.
 
 
 
 
 
 

 
   The Flying Disc Dog Open is unique international disc dog competition series in that there are many various games that the handler and dog must compete in to get an over-all score, and that determines the winner of the event.  Find more information on this competition series by clicking the logo.
 
 
 
 
 
 
The Purina Incredible Dog Challenge has a Freestyle / Throw and Catch competition, "As seen on TV". There are two US open qualifiers to make the IDC finals at Purina Farms.  For more information click the logo.
 
 
 
 
   The Quadruped is a strictly Long Distance Throw and Catch event which has a upper (Open) division and a lower division for Men and Women.  Teams are put into heats, similar to a track meet, and move on to the finals by completing longer throw and catches then their competitors.  There are four Quadruped events this year and there is a scoring system to decide an over-all Men's and Women's champions.  Find more info and rules by clicking on the logo.
 

 

   Skyhoundz World Championship Series is a international competition series with a number of different competitions each with their own World Championship title.  Divisions include Freestyle, Sport, Micro Dog, and Pairs Freestyle.  To be in the finals in Chattanooga, TN this year you must qualify at your Skyhoundz Regional Qualifier or one of the three Open Qualifiers.  The Skyhoundz organization also supports Local disc dog competitions and the Disc Dogathon Competitions.  To find out what region you are in and find out more info click on the logo.
 

   UFO World Cup Series is an international competition series where you earn points throughout the year by competing at UFO Local and UFO Major competitions to earn a invitation to the Finals that are to be held in San Diego, CA this year.  After the finals the highest point total is that years Champion.  It is a Freestyle / Throw and Catch / Freestyle format for the Championship but they also include Throw and Catch only divisions at their events.  Click the logo to find more info on the UFO.
 
 

 
   United States Disc Dog Nationals is an international competition series that uses a Freestyle / Throw and Catch / Freestyle format for their Super Open Championship but also has a Super Pro Championship that is Throw and Catch only.  To qualify for their National and International Finals you must first place well in one of their qualifiers that are held across the US and abroad.  To find more info on the USDDN click on the logo.
